2nd Data Science Summer School 2015, September 21-25, 2015, Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany
The 2nd Data Science Summer School is an intensive hands-on introduction to data science for Ph.D. and graduate students. It addresses the need for future experts in data science that venture to solve big-data challenges with skills in business, science and computing. We will introduce you to basic but also advanced statistics and its application in business and healthcare situations, aspects of processing mass data and data protection. Lectures are combined with hands-on modules that will help you to understand theoretical principles and how to apply them.
No previous knowledge of the subject is required, although attendants should have a minimal programming skill set.
