Electronic Health Records (EHR) – There’s room for improvement

December 05, 2014

Electronic Health Records (EHR) have been implemented widely over the past few years and they were meant to make life easier for doctors.  In fact, the administrative burden seems excessive and analysis seems difficult.

Among the many articles found in the net, this one has recently raised the interest of p-medicine partner Biovista: “Electronic medical records fail in data analytics”. Andreas Persidis, CEO and co-founder of Biovista, has shared his view on the article pointing out also the legal and ethical requirements associated with EHRs, an important issue raised also in p-medicine where a sound legal and ethical framework has been established for sharing data with the tools developed in the project.
