First Joint Meeting of p-medicine and VPH-Share

The first joint meeting of the FP7 projects p-medicine and VPH-Share (Virtual Physiological Human: Sharing for Healthcare - A Research Environment; www.vph-share.eu) took place on July 20, 2011 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The two projects share the common topic of cloud computing and were expressly asked by the European Commission to work closely together in this area. Within the scope of this first meeting, a joint strategy was adopted between p-medicine and VPH-Share to exchange information and technical knowledge regarding both projects.
Regular six-monthly meetings between p-medicine and VPH-Share will take place to plan project interactions and to ensure a productive cooperation. In addition, VPH-Share has expressed its interest in participating in p-medicine’s 2nd Summer School on Computational Oncology.
