MIE 2012 - the 24th European Medical Informatics Conference (August 26-29, 2012, Pisa, Italy)

The Italian Medical Informatics Association (AIIM), the e-health Italian Community and the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI), invite to the 24th European Medical Informatics Conference - MIE 2012. The theme of the conference is Quality of Life through Quality of Information.

MIE 2012 will provide a unique platform for fruitful exchange of ideas and experiences among the actors and stakeholders of ICT supported healthcare. Both methodologies and examples of applications are the base for the discussion, and all of us will learn not only from success stories in the field, but also from failures. The opinion and experiences of both the designers/planners and the addresses/users of e-health systems are of great importance when the target is the global improvement of the quality of life, at personal and public level. For this reason we do encourage health professionals, policy makers, and also patient/citizen associations to take an active part in the conference and share their knowledge.
