Broadening of the mind

Apart from the greater goal of implementing personalized medicine, the p-medicine-project aims to network as much as possible. The perfect occasion: The 4th progress meeting at St. Augustin. Hosted by Natalja Friesen and Stefan Rüping from Fraunhofer Institute IAIS, there were approximately 40 participants. The fruitful cooperation with colleagues from VPH share was an important result for p-medicine. VPH-share is another major infrastructure project under the umbrella of VPH.

Data security

Barend Mons from the Medical Centre of Leiden University, Holland, was keynote speaker. He gave a very interesting and stimulating insight into how data security is handled at his University. Prof. Norbert Graf: “p-medicine is a dynamic project which always welcomes new ideas. But, if there are already highly functional systems in data security – we don´t have to reinvent the wheel.”
